Meet Mia

Mia is a current Master of Education in Counselling Psychology student at the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Child and Youth Care from the University of Victoria. She has a wide range of experience working with children and youth across school, preschool, and community-based settings, supporting individuals with autism, behavioural challenges, and social-emotional needs.

Mia views reflective practice and relational work as central to meaningful change. She approaches each child with curiosity and compassion, using reflection to better understand behaviour in context and to tailor support to each child’s developmental and emotional needs. Mia brings a compassionate, strengths-based, and developmentally informed approach to her work and values collaboration with caregivers and multidisciplinary teams to promote meaningful change.

Mia is passionate about creating safe, inclusive, and affirming spaces where people feel understood and supported. She integrates a person-centred approach to meet families where they are at, creating a supportive and collaborative relationship. Mia is passionate about supporting family growth, confidence, and resilience as she walks alongside families through change.
