Meet Marnie
Marnie is a caring child and youth worker who brings over six years of frontline experience supporting children, teens, and families through emotional, behavioural, and mental health challenges. Her work has spanned clinical, home, and community environments through her nursing background, including pediatric psychiatry, early childhood programs, school systems, and family-focused services. She approaches each child and situation through a lens of empathy, cultural awareness, and empowerment.
Marnie has supported children living with autism, ADHD, ODD, FASD, and mood disorders, and is familiar with the realities of crisis care, emotional dysregulation, and complex home-school dynamics. She works directly with families and care teams to create consistent, child-centered support tailored to each individual’s needs and developmental stage.
What sets Marnie apart is her ability to form real connections with the children and youth she supports. She uses compassionate communication, emotional regulation tools, and a calm, steady presence to help young people feel secure and heard. She brings strong skills in crisis response, collaborative care, and practical problem-solving, always centering the experiences and priorities of the child.
In every setting, Marnie values respect and cultural awareness, approaching her work with a strong belief in the capacity of children and families to move forward with support, connection, and confidence.
