Meet Carina

Carina is a Drama Therapist originally from the United Kingdom and now based in Toronto. She completed her undergraduate degree in Drama at Bath Spa University and earned a Master’s degree in Drama Therapy from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London.

In her work with children and youth, Carina combines strong clinical training with a warm, flexible, and highly client-centred approach. Passionate about the role of creative expression in fostering connection and communication, she uses drama, role play, art, music, puppetry, improvisation, and play-based techniques to help children and adolescents explore emotions and express experiences that may be difficult to put into words. Sessions are thoughtfully adapted to each child’s comfort and developmental level, helping them feel safe, understood, and supported.

Grounded in the belief that creativity can support meaningful change, Carina creates a therapeutic space where children and adolescents feel empowered to explore at their own pace. Her approach to drama therapy focuses not on performance or perfection, but on process; using creative methods as accessible tools for growth, self-expression, and emotional understanding.
