Meet Carina
Carina is a Drama Therapist who is originally from the United Kingdom and recently moved to Toronto. Carina completed her undergraduate degree in Drama at Bath Spa University and went on to complete a Master’s degree in Drama Therapy at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London.
Carina brings her passion for drama and creative self-expression, paired with warmth, adaptability, and a client-led approach, to her therapeutic practice. She strives to create a safe, non-judgemental environment where children and families feel supported to explore their experiences and emotions. She has extensive experience working in mental health settings with children and families, and calls upon a range of creative focused approaches in her work, including role play, art, music, drama games, puppetry, and improvisation. Carina particularly values offering alternative ways to communicate thoughts and feelings, recognizing that creative expression can often help people express what may feel difficult to put into words.
